That author Orson Scott Card is anti marriage equality is probably not much of a secret, but a group called Geeks Out has just launched an online protest meant to boycott the upcoming film “Ender’s Game.”

Based on his 1985 novel of the same name, the film is scheduled for release in 2013 and is billed as one of the most anticipated films of the year.

Geeks Out wants you to skip it because of Card’s stance on gay marriage.

“Do not buy a ticket at the theater, do not purchase the DVD, do not watch it on-demand. Ignore all merchandise and toys,” reads the online statement.

“By pledging to Skip Ender's Game, we can send a clear and serious message to Card and those that do business with his brand of anti-gay activism – whatever he's selling, we're not buying,” it further adds.

Neither the movie studio behind “Ender’s Game” nor Card had responded to the boycott as of the time of writing.
