Gay bully or confused teenager?

Rockstar's most recent video game, Bully, is stirring up more and more controversy. As some U.K. retailers refused to stock Bully, maybe they had a good reason for doing so.

The game was released in the US of October 17 and already some in-game videos started to appear on the web. These videos show the main character of the game, Jimmy Hopkins, in some unexpected situations. If you expect that Jimmy is to be shown beating up some little kids or stealing their lunch money or even looking up the girls dresses you are wrong. Several websites like Gamebrink and GayGamer show in-game videos of Bully, in which Jimmy is making out with another boy.

The GayGamer version presents Jimmy Hopkins in his most tender moments. First, he gives a bouquet of flowers to a blond boy and after a brief discussion among the two, they start to make out. They express their "love" for each other by having three long kisses.

Furthermore, according to the Boston Globe, the National Institute on Media and the Family is trying to boycott Bully. They have declared themselves to be against the "T" rating granted by ESRB and believe that Bully is not appropriate for kids of any age.

With all this controversy arising, most of the gaming sites seem to love the game, giving it extremely high ratings on their reviews, including a 10 from 1up.com.
