Katie Price, once known solely as Jordan, the pneumatic glamour model, has just come out with a style book, as announced many weeks ago. “Standing Out” is now out in stores and, according to the Daily Mail, it also reveals that the two things the star can’t live without is Botox and fake tanning, no matter how dangerous doctors say it is.

Price is well aware that tanning beds are extremely dangerous for the health, as also is she that, in time, this love of hers for sunbeds will prove not to have been worth the pain. However, she says, since she doesn’t have any other vices and based on the idea that, at one point or another, all of us will “die of something,” if she’s to meet her end by the tanning bed, then so be it.

“Looking after my skin is not my strong point but the two things that do make my skin look better are sunbeds and Botox. I used to use spray tan but it stinks so now I use sun beds. I know people say they’re dangerous and can give you skin cancer but I don’t smoke, I hardly drink and we’ve all got to die of something, so that’s just my choice. I get my forehead and around my eyes Botoxed every six months and I love it. You can’t beat it,” the model says in the book in the chapter dedicated to skin care.

Even if she strongly believes that absolutely nothing can beat Botox injections, the star also reveals she would never go under the knife. Of course, Price already had some work done on her nose and breasts, but she can’t possibly imagine herself getting a facelift, she says. If there’s the “odd spot” she’s not happy with, which can appear sometimes, she relies on heavy makeup to hide it from the paparazzi, she goes on to explain.

“I don’t wear any make-up if I’m not working but if I’m doing a shoot, going out or appearing on TV I’m like a drag queen.I like lots and lots of products; in fact I like the whole of the Boots counter. I wear Dior Showgirl mascara, lipstick by Bourjois, Mac or Stila, and Mac eyeliner and eye shadow. I’m also a big fan of false lashes and I love Mac again. I get facials every week – Alexandra House near my house are great – but I like to go to different places every week to hide from the paparazzi,” Price explains in “Standing Out.”
