The aunt of suspected Boston bomber Tamerlan Tsarnaev tells reporters that a mosque in Boston has refused to bury him. The family has been allowed to handle his remains, reports are saying.

According to NBC News, Patimat Suleimanova has stated that the mosque has decided not to be associated with the Boston attacks.

While the location is not known, the suspects did regularly attend the Islamic Society of Boston mosque in Cambridge, Massachusetts. As mentioned, its members have undergone questioning by the FBI and have fully cooperated.

“That's a decision that we'd leave up to a scholar. This one is complex because the things that this guy did were just absolutely disgraceful,” a spokesman for the place of worship responds when prompted about a possible burial.

Tamerlan's younger brother, Dzhokhar, has told officials that the attacks were motivated by his wish to fight for Islam, as the US is attacking Iraq and Afghanistan.
