Boston terror suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev has been transferred from Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston to a prison facility in Massachusetts.

According to the Marshals Service, Tsarnaev is now detained in the federal prison at Fort Devens, some 40 miles (64 km) away.

NBC News mentioned that the jail house has also held inmate Roger Stockham of Southern California, who placed explosives in a mosque near Detroit two years ago.

The prison is equipped to treat prisoners suffering from serious health issues. As I wrote, Tsarnaev was shot in the leg and throat, making it impossible for him to speak.

While originally described as being in critical condition, his status has been upgraded since first being hospitalized in the Boston medical facility.

He has been charged and is awaiting trial. NY mayor Michael Bloomberg has mentioned in a statement that Tsarnaev had admitted to planning another bombing in Times Square.
