The mother of the two suspects in the deadly Boston blasts is speaking out to defend her sons, claiming that the FBI have been watching Tamerlan; therefore, they should have known if he had been up to something.

Zubeidat Tsarnaeva is convinced that her sons have been set up, which is consistent with the account given by their aunt.

As reported, Maret Tsarnaeva hints at a conspiracy, adding that her nephews are merely scapegoats for the FBI and Boston police.

“They were monitoring him and I know that because I used to talk to them. [...] They used to come to our house, like two, three times.

“And then my son Tamerlan used to tell me that he used to talk to them too, because they called me once and they wanted his number and then at such moments,” the Tsarnaevs' mother tells Channel 4 News in Dagestan.

“What happened was a terrible thing. But I know that my kids have nothing to do with this. I know it. I am mother. I know my kids,” Zubeidat comments.

She recalls being asked about her son, Tamerlan having radical inclinations, based on books that he was reading.

Since younger brother Dzhokhar, 19, has been charged today, the boys' father is planning to fly out to the States and assist him in his trial.

“I'm planning to go to America and fight for justice. Hire lawyers, the press, and reach the truth. Only the truth.

“If my sons are going to be shot without reason... that's going to come to every house if it's not going to be done by law. The law needs to be observed,” the father boasts.

Dzhokhar could be facing the death penalty for the charge of using weapons of mass destruction.

He has allegedly spoken to the police to defend himself and pinpoint his brother as the brain behind the operation.
