Chechen President Ramzan Kadyrov has released a statement on Instagram dissociating the country from alleged Boston Marathon bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev.

“Any attempts to link Chechnya and the Tsarnaevs, if indeed they are guilty, are futile. They grew up in the USA, their viewpoints and beliefs were formed there. You must look for the roots of evil in America,” he says.

As we also mentioned, the Tsarnaev brothers could have been in the States for a decade. Older brother Tamerlan, killed in the Watertown manhunt, studied at a community college in Boston. A photo of him taken at the morgue has emerged online.

Dzhokhar has just been detained and will be grilled by the High-Value Detainee Interrogation Group. The lawmaker also noted that Tamerlan's involvement in the attacks will never be known as he was not captured alive.

According to a translation by Web Pro News, Kadyrov hints that the older suspect was killed during a rush to deliver a culprit in the attacks, in order to appease the American public.

“It would have made sense to arrest him and carry out an investigation, clarify all the circumstances and his degree of guilt. Evidently, the security services needed a result at any price in order to calm the populace,” he says.

The Chechen President goes on to offer his support to the US population, especially those close to the victims of the horrific attack.

“The events that took place in Boston are tragic. People have been killed as a result of a terrorist act. Earlier we expressed our condolences to the residents of the city and to the American people.

“Terrorism must be fought everywhere. We know this better than anyone. We wish all the victims a [speedy] recovery and share in Americans’ grief. #terroristact #Boston #consequence,” he posts.
