Have you ever seen an Apple Store opening? Either way, if you haven't seen the Boylston Street Apple Store Grand Opening, Thursday May 15, you've seen nothing. Just being there was worth waiting in line, let alone the giveaways and all the surprises they had lined up.

"It was awesome," said Derek Shooster, a 19-year-old Northeastern University student, as he exited the Boylston Street store, according to the ifoAppleStore official website. ifoAppleStore specializes in news and information about Apple Inc.'s retail stores.

Shooster and others confidently declared that although there were other Apple stores to visit nearby, none looked half as striking as the Boylston Street Apple Store. Looking up at the three-story glass structure, he said, "It's a dream come true for an Apple fan like me." Steven Reposa, 26, of Attleboro, another Apple fanatic, arrived at the store on Wednesday at 6 p.m. and stayed up all night to be the first customer inside. "What can I say," he explained with a shrug, "I'm just a huge Apple fan." Steven said this was his fourth Apple Store opening.

Those who attended the May 15th Boylston Street (Boston) grand opening also received souvenirs, aside T-shirts. An iPod sock, fashioned on the Boston Red Sox, knitted out of stretchy fabric, contained a 2-3/8" x 4/-1/2" card printed green on both sides. The tag said "Boston 5.15.08" on one side (in silver letters) and had the Apple logo on the other.

ifoAppleStore also posted a video of the Grand Opening which I suggest you check out. Have a look at the images below (video grabs) and then head over here to see video - if you live in the vicinity of the newly opened store, but were too lazy to attend the grand opening, you'll probably be eating your heart out (even as a non-Apple fan).
