Police have released the name of the 8-year-old boy who lost his life in the April 15 Boston Marathon blasts.

One of the explosions ripped through Martin Richard, a third-grade student who was waiting for his father at the finish line.

As I told you earlier, that is exactly where the explosives were placed, killing two other people.

While a recent injury count puts the number of people harmed in the blast at 141, Hollywood Life describes that 176 men and women were wounded at the race.

Bill Richard, Martin's father, was the last one to see him alive, as he hugged him while crossing the finish line. There is no information about his condition at this point.

The young boy's mother and sister, who were standing beside him as he was waiting, have also been injured. They stayed put while Martin approached his dad, and preliminary reports show that he was hit while getting back to his family after reaching his father.

His mother, Denise is in serious condition and has undergone brain surgery, while his six-year-old sister has incurred a leg amputation.

The police have already searched the home of a person of interest in the case, in a suburban area of Boston. I will keep you updated as this story develops.
