14 DAY TRIAL // Chelsea Handler has been bad-mouthing Angelina Jolie since 2004, when her good friend Jennifer Aniston separated from her husband Brad Pitt, who is currently Jolie’s partner. However, the bad-mouthing stops now, corporate honchos have warned her.
Some of the choicest things Handler has said about Jolie throughout the years include “demon,” “bad girl,” and that C-word we could never reproduce in writing here.
For the record, she never said that she hated Jolie because she’d stolen Jennifer’s husband, but the implication was always there, if you knew how to read in between the lines.
The National Enquirer is now saying that bosses have warned her to back off of Angelina, which means no more jokes and jabs about her personal life, her many children, her work and, most importantly, her humanitarian work.
Handler has been effectively “muzzled” says the report, with insiders arguing that the move is meant to earn Comcast (which oversees Universal studios and Handler’s show on E! Network) popularity points with Jolie because they want her to become a fixture at Universal.
“Angelina has a lot of support at the top and they’re dying to lock her into a long-term contract. They don’t like the fact that Chelsea has really been saying some horrible things about her,” one such unnamed source reveals.
“For starters, she’s been accusing Angelina of being a plastic surgery-obsessed phony whose looks are fading fast. […] But perhaps worst of all, Chelsea has dismissed all of Angelina’s humanitarian work, saying that she’s only involved with good causes because it helps her image,” the tipster shares.
Whether she likes it or not, and she probably doesn’t, Chelsea will have to abstain from making such remarks about Angelina in the future, or face the possibility of being out of a job and shunned in the industry.
“Chelsea’s not happy about it, but she’s been banned from spewing any more anti-Jolie gags, at least for the next couple of months,” the insider reveals.
We’ll see if she actually manages to do that.
