Bose admits their in-ear headphones have problems fitting

It's rather seldom when a company the size and quality of Bose admits to have issues with troublesome gear. But as feedback from customers and testers won't go by far close to what a company expects, things are rather clear and denying such mishap does little good - instead it erodes the image of such a producer.

It looks like Bose have understood that it's better to admit and say you're sorry than pretend nothing's amiss and keep the high-esteem as if nothing bad happened. It's the case of Bose's first in-ear headphones, the long-advertised TriPort technology issued last year.

Back then, Bose was quite proud of what they had achieved and bragged a lot about having solved the three major problems any headphones had to confront: sound quality, comfort/design and stability.

Well, it's quite clear that the first two objectives were successfully accomplished as Bose has never made poor-sound gear and these ear-pieces look really neat.

It's the third thing which made all the fuss, as customers have repeatedly signaled the fact that the buds don't stay in place as the "manual said". None of the 3 sets of buds coming in with the actual headphones seem to fit as they should; and this means their design may not be the best one, see?

The cool thing is that a Crave editor, who has reviewed these headphones (and they did not get too much of high marks) has received a letter signed by Bose inviting him to partake in a press conference where Bose was to announce what actions will be taken such as to resolve the inconveniences reported by "any owners who experienced a stability problem."

Now, it will be quite interesting to see Bose apologize and replace the improper ear buds for those not-so-happy customers who paid a nickel short of 100 dollars for each set.

Anyway, besides the politeness and regard for customers, this is the best thing a serious company could ever do in such a case and even more, it means truly believing in and sticking to their slogan: "better sound through research".
