Borderlands: The Fallen, a novel based around the well known video game from developer Gearbox, will be launched tomorrow, allowing fans of the series to get more information on the game world and meet some characters that might make an appearance in the coming sequel.

The Kindle version of the novel will sell for 9.99 dollars and the same amount of Euro, while the paperback will set old fashioned readers back close to 11 dollars.

Those who are interested can get a preview of what Borderlands: The Fallen has to offer can click on this link to see an excerpt.

The author of The Fallen is John Shirley, who has previously handled video game to novel transitions for games titles like BioShock and Doom and has also written a novel called Dead White, linked to the Batman universe.

Borderlands 2 is already in development and might launched in late 2012, with the same structure of the first but updated mechanics and a more open world.
