Gearbox Software, after confirming the sixth playable character for Borderlands 2 yesterday, in the form of a Psycho Bandit named Krieg, has now posted an array of fresh details about the class and the powers that it can use.

Borderlands 2 was released with four different playable classes, in the form of the Siren, Gunzerker, Commando, and Assassin. Shortly after that, a fifth character, the Mechromancer, was released as DLC.

Now, Gearbox is working hard on several improvements for the game, including a raised level cap and a third playthrough mode.

Besides those add-ons, the studio revealed yesterday the sixth playable character for Borderlands 2, in the form of Krieg, the Psycho Bandit.

The new character has just received a few more details about his Buzz Axe Rampage action skill and the different abilities he can unlock thanks to the three skill trees.

"Wielding a buzz axe and harnessing his psychotic multiple personalities, Krieg is a badass melee mauler with ranged attack capabilities that can rip foes to shreds with his deadly Buzz Axe Rampage action skill. Players can stack combat bonuses with Krieg's Bloodlust skill tree, live on the edge of insanity with the Mania tree, or engulf both enemies and yourself in flames with the Hellborn tree," Gearbox said, via AGB.

Besides the new character, Gearbox is hard at work at the aforementioned improvements relating to the level cap and the third playthrough, called Ultimate Vault Hunter mode.

What's more, the studio also revealed that the promised fourth story-based expansion would arrive in June and would be the biggest DLC the studio has ever worked on.

Krieg the Psycho Bandit class will be available as a separate DLC pack in May for $9.99/€9.99/800 MS Points.

The other improvements will be released at the beginning of April for Borderlands 2 across the PC, PS3, and Xbox 360 platforms.
