Borderlands 2: Sir Hammerlock's Big Game Hunt DLC Confirmed, Gets Video

After quite a few leaks and a bit of teasing, Gearbox Software and 2K Games have just confirmed the next story-based add-on for Borderlands 2, in the form of Sir Hammerlock's Big Game Hunt.

Borderlands 2 was released in September and developer Gearbox has since released quite a lot of new things, ranging from a new playable character, in the form of the Mechromancer, to two story-based expansions, namely Captain Scarlett and Her Pirate's Booty and Mr. Torgue's Campaign of Carnage.

Now, the next add-on for the game, Sir Hammerlock's Big Game Hunt, has been officially revealed.

As you can see in the announcement video above, Sir Hammerlock will send the Vault Hunters to a new continent called Aegris, filled with brand new and quite impressive animals, not to mention enemies that have seemingly organized a cult devoted to Handsome Jack, the main antagonist in the game.

Sir Hammerlock's Big Game Hunt DLC is out for Borderlands 2 on January 15, 2013, for PC, PS3, and Xbox 360.
