Until then gamers should be careful who they play with

The development team at Gearbox says that it will soon launch a patch designed to eliminate the use of an external application which is disrupting the experience of a variety of Borderlands 2 players during multiplayer sessions.

A post on the official forums says, “After extensive internal testing, an update to prevent this disruption has been submitted to Microsoft and will be released as soon as possible. Until then, concerned Xbox 360 players of Borderlands 2 should consider playing online with trusted individuals in non-public sessions. This does not affect players on PC or PlayStation 3.”

Gearbox also suggests that players always use the Save and Quit options from the pause menu while their character is still alive.

The post also advises players to use the Continue option if they are in the main menu of Borderlands 2 after the death of their character and only then save and quit.

Borderlands 2 is set to get another piece of DLC before the end of the year.
