14 DAY TRIAL // Gearbox Software and 2K Games have presented two very special limited editions for their upcoming Borderlands 2 role playing shooter, in the form of the Deluxe Vault Hunter’s Collector’s Edition and the Ultimate Loot Chest Limited Edition
Borderlands 2 is out this September and, after getting the hype going through a very special trailer earlier this year, developer Gearbox and publisher 2K have presented the first details about the two limited editions they’ll release for the game.
First up is the Deluxe Vault Hunter’s Collector’s Edition, which includes quite a lot of interesting things, like a bobblehead modeled after in-game character Marcus Kincaid, a special artbook detailing the game's design process, as well as quite a few bonus in-game content that has yet to be revealed.
“The Deluxe Vault Hunter's Collector's Edition includes a copy of Borderlands 2; authentic Marcus Kincaid bobblehead; Inside the Vault: The Art & Design of Borderlands 2 hardbound book; collectable sticker set; map of Pandora; digital comic download code; and bonus downloadable in-game digital content,” the companies said.
For those with more money to burn and a true admiration for Borderlands 2, there’s a special Ultimate Loot Chest Limited Edition, which includes all the things from the Deluxe Vault Hunter’s one and much more.
“The Ultimate Loot Chest Limited Edition includes all of those items, plus a collectable scaled replica of the red loot chests found throughout Pandora in Borderlands 2; steel book case; Creatures of Pandora wide-format ID chart; lithograph postcard set; field notes from Sir Hammerlock; cloth map of Pandora; and a numbered certificate of authenticity.
The Borderlands 2 Deluxe Vault Hunter’s edition will be sold for $99.99 (around €78.92), while the Ultimate Loot Chest one will sell for $149.99 (€118.39). Both will be released across the PC, PS3, and Xbox 360 platforms.
