Gearbox Software, the developer behind Borderlands 2 or Aliens: Colonial Marines, is working on not one, but two games designed for next-gen consoles, according to its president, Randy Pitchford.

Gearbox Software has many loyal fans thanks to the quality of its games, even if the most recent title, Aliens: Colonial Marines, disappointed a lot of people.

The studio is currently working on two titles designed for next-gen consoles, aka the PlayStation 4 and Xbox one, as its president, Randy Pitchford, confirmed this in a special panel at PAX Prime, via CVG.

The games are new and original intellectual properties, meaning they won't be a part of Gearbox's many different franchises.

Those who visit the studio during the upcoming Community Day on September 14 have a chance to get into future beta tests for the two games, so if you're in the Dallas, Texas area around that time, you might want to visit the studio.
