Do Macs rule, or do PCs rule? That is the ever-burning question.

Apple's Mac vs. PC ads just got a whole new meaning. This Powerbook Start up Sound Prank video I stumbled across features two students that have embraced both traditional and electronic studying means - books, but also a laptop. While Windows can definitely turn a few heads, a Mac's startup sound will "own" an entire library, as you will see in this video.

While just a prank (you don't honestly think Macs really boot this slow, do you?), Windows fans will undoubtedly see this as a good opportunity to bash Mac users, even though this just concerns an occasionally annoying startup sound. I should probably also point out that a MacBook can, in no way, sound so loud and so bassy. A laptop's speakers aren't half as powerful as an iMac's. Not even an iMac can sound as loud as a church choir. Plus, the original sound is much, much shorter.

The video doesn't just make one point, but more contradictory ones, depending on your preferred OS. For example, as a Mac user, you're probably going to say it "sounded as if God was entering the library." I was going to say that too, but commenter isozaki beat me to it (by a week). "lol thats awesome [sic]. I would have clapped for sure though when it was done," another visitor wrote.

The video does fall short of sentiment, I have to agree. If you're going to pull a stunt like this, at least do it properly and have some of your friends start a big round of applause when the point is made. Everyone would have surely followed their example. Folks are crazy about this sort of thing - why do you reckon all those teen movies have happy endings?

You can also look at this from a PC user's point of view. Sure enough, my first comment would have been: "LOL, is this how much time Macs need to boot?!" But why don't you watch the video yourself and tell us what you think the message is here:
