Prepaid carrier Boost Mobile is about to launch the BlackBerry Curve 9310 smartphone as well as a new plan aimed at BlackBerry users.

According to the operator, the new BBM unlimited plans will be an industry first, due to the fact that it features worldwide unlimited access to BlackBerry Messenger (BBM) and talk and text with payments that shrink to as low as $30 per month.

The new BBM plan will be available beginning July 10 exclusively with the BlackBerry Curve 9310 smartphone, which is expected to arrive on the same day and will be priced at $99.99 USD (excluding taxes).

BlackBerry Curve 9310 will be available at Boost Mobile brick and mortar stores, as well as at select leading retailers across the country with free shipping. In addition, Boost Mobile confirmed the smartphone would be available at Best Buy locations beginning next month.

The good news is that the Curve 9310 will be shipped with BlackBerry 7.1 OS onboard, which means users won’t have to wait for an update anymore.

Other than that, the smartphone does not stand out from other affordable BlackBerry smartphones. The device packs a 3.2-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, as well as a traditional QWERTY keyboard.

Wi-Fi and GPS are included also, along with dedicated Blackberry Messenger key and access to lots of third-party apps and games via Blackberry App World.

According to RIM, BlackBerry Curve 9310 sports a 2.44-inch display that supports 320 x 240 pixels resolution, and embeds 512MB of RAM that can be further expanded up to 32GB via microSD memory card.

We have partnered closely with RIM to enhance the Boost Mobile line-up and launch the first-ever no-contract BlackBerry smartphone priced under $100. This breakthrough device is matched with the most affordable BlackBerry service plan in the industry with shrinking payments and unlimited talk, text and worldwide BlackBerry Messenger,” said Andre Smith, vice president of Boost Mobile.
