14 DAY TRIAL // Boost Mobile has recently announced a new flat-rate prepaid plan, Monthly Unlimited, which is meant to offer unlimited nationwide talk, text and multimedia messaging, as well as wireless Web access and nationwide Walkie-Talkie for an all-inclusive price of $50/month. As many of you might already know, Virgin Mobile has recently informed that, starting with April 15, it will offer prepaid users an Unlimited plan that will cost them $49.99/month, and now we learn that Boost Mobile also comes with a similar offering for its users.
According to CTIA (Cellular Telecommunications Industry Association), people's use of text messaging grew widely last year in the US, as more than 75 billion messages were sent a month in the country, compared with 7.2 billion per month sent in 2005, and Boost Mobile intends to allow its users to benefit from the possibility of sending as many text messages as they'd like.
“Our customers are very connection-centric, which means they use their phones to not only talk, but also to send texts, find sports scores or weather on the mobile Web and instantly connect with people via Walkie-Talkie, which is why we offer all these unlimited services in our popular all-you-can-eat plan,” Matt Carter, president at Boost Mobile, says. “Others may try to compete, but we are confident that our offering is still the best value in the prepaid marketplace and provides consumers with a comprehensive suite of services that they are looking for from their wireless provider at an affordable price.”
Boost Mobile's plan is able to allow users to send not only text messages, but picture ones too, along with also providing them with Web access and the popular Walkie-Talkie feature. The company also adds that its “push-to-talk” network is one of the fastest in the industry. According to Boost Mobile, a recent survey has shown that more than 90 percent of its iDEN customers use nationwide Boost Walkie-Talkie, while 70 percent of them employ the service on a daily basis.
