The Book of Unwritten Tales was part of a recent revival of the adventure game and the development team at King Art is now aiming to get the resources required to create a full sequel, which is designed to have more humor, better puzzles and an interesting narrative.

The company is seeking Kickstarter backing for the new project and all fans have 39 more days to contribute to raise the 65,000 dollars (46,000 Euro).

The studio says that Book of Unwritten Tales 2 will be 20 hours long and will spoof everything from World of Warcraft, Game of Thrones, Harry Potter, Discworld and Dungeons & Dragons.

All the puzzles will be logical even if they are weirdly built and Wilbur, Nate, Ivo und Critter remain the core characters.

King Art also wants to improve the soundtrack, introduce more NPCs and make the entire game world more appealing from a visual standpoint.

Book of Unwritten Tales 2 will be launched in early 2015.
