Some of you might remember the Boogie Board 9.7 Sync tablet / eWriter which was spotted passing through the FCC back in November.

Since then, the product has been given the green light and is now available for purchase on Amazon with a $99.99 / €74 price tag.

For those who don’t really remember much about the slate, the Boogie was officially unveiled at CES 2013, more than a year ago.

Don’t think of this product as your average tablet, because the Boogie will appeal to creative professionals and maybe those who like to get a little artistic in their spare time.

You won’t be able to access the Google Play or anything, but the eWriter is compatible with the Evernote and Adobe Illustrator apps, so you can port your sketches, drawings and notes there.

The quirk of this slate represents the fact that users can save their notes or sketches in PFD files and then easily port them to their computers.

The Boogie Board Sync will also let users transfer files onto PC, tablet or smartphone via Wi-Fi, using a Bluetooth connection.

The Boogie Board can be connected to a computer and used as a magnetic for writing or drawing, making this a perfect device for creative individuals.

But that’s not all, the board can be used in concert with a projector, so you can write down notes on the device and display it on a big screen.

Boogie also has a block and white ChLCD (cholesteric LCD) display which does not reflect light, making it usable even in natural light conditions.

Battery life should provide a very extensive life for the eWriters, amounting to as much as a week, if you don’t overuse it. So are you ready to throw all your traditional notebooks away?
