A former Miss Universe and one of the few Indian actors that are beginning to get international recognition, Sushmita Sen will soon begin production on her second Hollywood movie. 'And, yes, Richard Gere plays the male lead', the beautiful actress said yesterday.
Sush was, until now, involved in many popular Bollywood movies but, after she caught the attention of the bosses from Hollywood, the offers just kept pouring in. Her first movie, which is yet to be released, 'Karma, Confessions and Holi' has already finished shooting.
A date of release for the second one, 'The Expat' has not been announced thus far. But Sushmita will play the leading female part, that of an Indian expatriate. Production for it will begin as soon as the actress recovers from the neck pain she is now experiencing and for which she is undergoing medical treatment.

'The Expat' will be directed by the US-born Sutapa Ghosh and will be distributed by Miramax Films. 'I'm looking forward to working with Sutapa and Richard', Sen said during the press conference in which she announced her latest project.
