Boingo Wireless, one of the major providers of software and service in Wi-Fi industry, recently announced that it had renewed and extended a bilateral roaming agreement with T-Mobile USA for subscriber access to Wi-Fi hotspots.

The partnership between the two companies covers both laptops and Wi-Fi enabled handheld devices.

According to the new expanded agreement, T-Mobile Hotspot and postpaid mobile broadband subscribers will now have Wi-Fi access at no additional charge at 53 Boingo airport locations in the United States and Canada, including major airports in the New York and Chicago metropolitan areas.

In addition to the above-mentioned locations, the extended agreement also includes the Washington State Ferries in the Seattle area.

“Expanding our agreement with T-Mobile USA reinforces our commitment to delivering customers seamless Wi-Fi access to a larger, collective footprint,” said Colby Goff, senior vice president of strategy for Boingo Wireless.

“We pride ourselves in listening to our customers and giving them access to Wi-Fi when and where they need it. Boingo users can now enjoy connectivity at airport lounges – a top request – and we welcome T-Mobile subscribers to our airport and ferry networks,” Goff added.

Furthermore, Boingo customers will have continued Wi-Fi access at T-Mobile Hotspot airport locations, as well as expanded access at T-Mobile HotSpot airline club and hotel locations.

These includes the airline clubs of American Airlines, United Airlines, US Airways and Delta Airlines and Hyatt hotels.

For those out of the loop, Boingo is one of the world's largest network of Wi-Fi hotspots with more than 200,000 hotspots worldwide.

Boingo subscribers can connect their laptops or smartphones in various locations such as hundreds of airports, thousands of hotels, and tens of thousands of cafes and coffee shops.

The company offers its customers Wi-Fi plans ranging from $7.95 to $59.99. Most of Boingo plans include unlimited use, either in the Americas or worldwide.
