If you think you've seen everything, you probably haven't laid eyes on that huge lens in the photo up there.

And yes, before you ask, that photo isn't photoshopped or otherwise altered. That lens really is so humongous.

For those who want specifics, the 11.5 pound, 6mm f/2.8 lens has a viewing angle of 220 degrees and an image area of 24 x 36 mm.

The British Journal of Photography says that the lens was made back in 1970, at the Photokina photography trade show. It was only made on special order starting in 1972.

Grays of Westminster sells it for £100,000, or roughly $161,210 / 122,642 Euro.

Nikon originally made this fish eye for “scientific and industrial purposes,” but bidders probably won't care. Regardless, we'll sit back and gawk now.
