Bodhi is a minimalistic Linux operating system based on Ubuntu, that has really small requirements and now it has reached version 1.2.1.

Jeff Hoogland and the Bodhi team have discovered that the version of GCC used to compile the kernel on the previous release, 1.2.0, causes a problem for users when compiling and inserting extra kernel modules, like VirtualBox and Nvidia.

Long story short, the Bodhi developers have corrected this problem and even introduced a few new features, such as a new GUI tool that automates the installation of the current Nvidia driver and a new App Center (which no longer utilizes Doku Wiki and has been written from scratch).

The developers have also advised users that is not necessary to install the new release if the old one is working just fine, Bodhi 1.2.1 being just a bugfix release.
