As announced weeks ago, this Sunday brought the first interview with Whitney Houston's daughter Bobbi Kristina for an Oprah special. You can see her segment in its entirety below.

This is the first time the singer's family talks to the press ever since her sudden demise in February, when she was found dead in her hotel room from a suspected drug overdose.

However, Bobbi Kristina's interview was perhaps more of interest to viewers at home because of rumors that she's been dealing with the same drug issues as her mother, and might even be down the same path of self-destruction.

Despite the tabloid rumors, Oprah didn't ask Bobbi Kristina to comment on them. She did, though, try to get her to talk more about how she was dealing with the grief of having lost her mother and best friend.

“It comes in waves… Her spirit is strong,” Bobbi Kristina, Krissi as her mother used to call her, says. People never knew how strong Whitney's spirit was, she adds.

Asked if she finds comfort in listening to her mother's music, Krissi admits she can't bring herself to do that just now. It's too soon.

“I can sing her music, but to hear it now, I can’t. I can hear her voice telling me to keep moving, baby, I gotcha. She’s always with me. I can always feel her with me. She used to always say, ‘Do you need me?’ And I said, ‘I always need you’,” she says.

Now that she's moved back into the house they shared until not long, Krissi feels safe – she feels as if her mother is still there.

She knows Whitney would have wanted her to keep on going, to carry on her legacy. So, she has big plans of forging a career in showbiz.

“I have to carry on the legacy. We’re gonna do the singing thing. Some acting, some dancing……It’s a lot of pressure, but she prepared me for it,” Bobbi Kristina tells Oprah.
