Whitney Houston died at the weekend: aged just 48, the singer was found unresponsive in her hotel room at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. Her 18-year-old daughter Bobbi Kristina is still in shock after hearing the tragic news.

Two days after the singer's body was found, Bobbi Kristina, or Krissi, as friends call her, had already been admitted twice to the emergency room, presumably after mixing alcohol and sedatives.

Just yesterday, word online had it that she was “inconsolable” after her mom's passing and that, somehow, she believed she was responsible for it, for not doing anything to help her.

In a statement cited by the Daily Mail, Bobby Brown, Krissi's father and Whitney's ex-husband, offers the first updates on the teen's condition.

She's better now but she still needs care, which she's getting in the bosom of her family.

“My daughter Bobbi Kristina is doing much better,” Brown says.

“We continue to provide love and support to Bobbi Kristina. She is dealing with the tragedy of her mother’s death and would prefer to do it outside of the public eye. I ask again that our privacy be respected,” he adds in the same statement.

What's odd about such a public announcement is that it comes short on the heels of reports that Brown was barred any contact with Krissi.

He was / is also banned from Whitney's funeral by her family, who still hold him responsible for her severe addiction to drugs.

If one is to believe ongoing rumors, Bobby hasn't seen Whitney or Kriss since he flew in from his tour.

At the same time, if we're to trust everything that we read in the press, Whitney Houston had a premonition about her death, TMZ says.

“We're told, on Friday , one day after she performed, 'Yes Jesus Loves Me' at Tru nightclub in Hollywood, Whitney told one of her friends, 'I'm gonna go see Jesus... I want to see Jesus',” the celebrity e-zine writes.

“The next morning, hours before her death, Whitney was discussing a bible passage involving John the Baptist and Jesus... when Houston flashed a big smile and remarked, 'You know, he's so cool... I really want to see that Jesus',” adds the same report.

The singer will be buried this weekend in a private, invite-only ceremony. Cause of death will be determined in a few weeks' time, when the toxicology reports are in.
