The Houston and Brown family has made a decision regarding Bobbi Kristina Brown, Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown’s only child. The 21-year-old has been in a medically induced coma since she was found submerged in water in the bathtub of her home on January 31.

It’s been days that doctors informed the family that there was nothing they could do for her anymore and that she was showing minimal brain activity. They advised taking her off life support, but her father fought back, saying a miracle from God could still help Krissi, as she is also called, wake up.

Bobbi Kristina’s life support withdrawn tomorrow

TMZ and the NY Post inform that the decision made will see life support withdrawn tomorrow, February 11, on the day of her mother’s death anniversary. Whitney Houston died on February 11, 2012, from a drug overdose - and she too was found in the bathtub, submerged in water.

At the time, Whitney was getting ready for her mentor Clive Davis’ Grammy party and she was said to be looking forward to a new album and going out there to promote it, especially since her appearances before that, on tour, hadn’t exactly been received well by the fans and the media.

Krissi was devastated by her mother’s passing, but she continued to live in the same house she shared with her, together with the boy Whitney had raised as her own and who later became Krissi’s “husband,” Nick Gordon.

According to TMZ, Bobby Brown and Cissy Houston, Krissi’s grandmother and Whitney’s mother, have finally understood that there was no hope left for the 21-year-old.

“Cissy Houston, Whitney's mom, also wanted life support pulled on the anniversary to ‘bond mother and daughter for eternity’,” TMZ notes. However, confirmation from the family on this is still pending.

Criminal investigation underway

While there is a strong possibility that Krissi too OD’ed, seeing how police uncovered drugs in the house, a criminal investigation is now underway to determine if Nick Gordon, who was with a male friend at the house when she was discovered, wasn’t involved in any way in the “accident.”

Apparently, Krissi had facial injuries inconsistent with her condition, and she and Nick had a very volatile and violent relationship. Reports say that he was also very jealous, not because he thought Krissi might cheat on him, but because he believed he should be at least as famous as she was, since he too had been raised as Whitney’s child.

Moreover, the male friend who was at the house is now said to be cooperating with the police in exchange for immunity, after recalling that Nick went missing for about 15 minutes before he walked in on Bobbi Kristina in the bathroom, worried that she was not answering his calls.

That means that she must have been deprived of oxygen for longer than 5 minutes, as authorities initially thought. She was put in a coma upon arrival to the hospital, and just yesterday, a public vigil was held for her at the amphitheater at Riverdale Town Center in Riverdale, Georgia.

[Update, February 11, 2015]: A statement from the family denies that a decision has been made regarding Bobbi Kristina Brown, but the cited publications stand by their initial reporting.
