14 DAY TRIAL // Bobbi Kristina Brown, Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown’s only daughter, nearly drowned in an incident at her home in Georgia in January this year, and has been in the hospital ever since. She spent months in a coma and is now believed to be out of it, slightly responsive but with severe brain damage.
A new report says that the situation may be more dire than the family initially let on, and that preparations are being made to bring Krissi home so she can “die peacefully,” Radar Online writes.
The family has lost hope
Towards the end of May, a source close to Bobby Brown told the media that he had no intention of pulling the plug on his daughter. As long as there was a chance for her to survive this, no matter how insignificant, he would give her the chance to come back.
As of now, statements from various family members are conflicting: while there are some (like Whitney’s mother, Cissy Houston, Krissi’s grandmother) saying she’s out of the coma, relatives on her father’s side insist she hasn’t awoken since she was put in the medically induced coma on January 31.
There was one attempt on part of the doctors to bring her out of it, but she went into seizures and they decided it would be best if she remained under until her vitals stabilized on their own.
According to the latest report, the family is slowly losing all hope in Krissi’s recovery.
“She is being taken home to die peacefully,” says an insider. Admittedly, the family wants Krissi in the same Georgia home she shared with her mother before her tragic 2009 death. Incidentally, Whitney died in a bathtub, overdosing on pills as she was preparing for Clive Davis’ pre-Grammy party.
“If she's alive, then let her be home and surrounded by beautiful photos of her mom. It's as good as it gets in such a bad situation,” the insider adds.
The report also notes that Bobby Brown is against the decision.
Krissi, a tragic story
Bobbi Kristina is only 22 years old and she is said to have struggled with addiction to both drugs and alcohol for years already.
After her mother’s death, from which she could never move on, she started dating the young man Whitney had raised as her own son and whom she had considered a brother, Nick Gordon.
Reports claim that it was Nick who pushed Krissi to do heavy drugs, angry that he wasn’t left anything in Whitney’s will. The way to get the singer’s money was through the daughter, and the way to Krissi turned out to be through drugs and alcohol.
Nick is the main suspect in the ongoing criminal investigation into the circumstances around Krissi’s accident, because he is believed to have been alone with her in that bathroom for upwards of 5 minutes. At the time she was rushed to the hospital, she was also sporting injuries on her face not consistent with the way she was found.
Nick refused to cooperate with the cops, but did check into rehab after several weeks of trying to gain access to the hospital to see the “love of his life.”
