Photos to be sent out to 45,000 employees

Remember the story about TSA guys struggling to figure out what the thing without a hard drive was? Here's the follow-up. As it turns out, TSA can't afford anymore such mistakes, and decided to X-ray the darn thing once and for all, take photos of its inner workings and send them out to its 45,000 employees, so no one misses their flight because of this.

The best part however is the fact that Bob is in charge of the whole process. Bob managed to get his hands on a MacBook Air (congrats Bob) and put it through X machine to look at it again and take pictures for the TSA:

"We've put this through the x-ray, we've taken a close look at it and we now know that it does look different than your typical laptop ... We have taken some photographs of this MacBook Air. We're going to take those photographs and we're going to send them to our 45,000 TSA workforce, so everyone will have a good idea of what it looks like and we'll be able to avoid any future problems that might arise," says Bob in the MacBook Air screening footage posted up on TSA's blog (symbolically dubbed Evolution of Security).

"We can't show you an image of it because it's sensitive security information," Bob reveals. I swear I almost crapped my pants hearing this. "Sensitive," "security," "information." Man, these guys know their job alright, yet cause people to miss their flights for going with the latest laptop out there.

Flattering for Apple and its fans, pathetic for TSA and its employees.

One more thing. Hey, Bob, what if I was to tell you I have a friend over at a radiology lab who can get me images of the "sensitive" inner-lookings of an Air within minutes?
