Fox News co-anchor Bob Beckel is being harshly criticized for questioning the number of cases of date rape on campus during a roundtable discussion on the proposal to ban concealed weapons on campuses on Colorado.

“When was the last time you heard about a rape on campus?” Beckel says at one point, prompting a rather outraged reaction from his co-hosts.
“What are you talking about? It’s rampant,” co-host Eric Bolling responds, with Dana Perino immediately chiming in, “In particular, date rape on campus.”
Indeed, figures show that the number of cases of rape on student campuses has increased in recent years; in fact, a 2010 report from the Department of Justice notes that 25% of college women go through a rape or an attempted rape over the 4-year period of study.
