Earlier this year, HBO announced that it would be pulling the plug on one of its successful series, period drama “Boardwalk Empire” dealing with the rise and fall of mobsters during the Prohibition.

Though fans were puzzled as to why the network was killing off a series that enjoyed popularity, they have since come to terms with the idea and are now looking forward to season 5. A new teaser has been released online and the bottom line is that “Jesus was wrong.”

The line is uttered in a change of lines between Chalky and two women, one of whom can be heard saying “[t]here's forgiveness for everyone. That's what Jesus said.” Chalky proceeds to set the records straight, “Bay girl, Jesus was wrong.”

The new series isn't going to take place during the Prohibition, but is going to make a leap straight into the Depression era years, as revealed some time ago by Michael K. Williams. Viewers will also be getting a look at Nucky Thompson in the teaser, played masterfully by Steve Buscemi. He has been the title character in the show.

Series 5, the final one from “Boardwalk Empire” is set to premiere on September on the premiere TV network HBO.
