Last night, Alabama rocker Bo Bice and farm girl Carrie Underwood fought for the "Idol" title, coming to the finish line of what all the judges described as a tight race. "It's gonna be really close," said judge Randy Jackson.

Each contestant sang three songs, including the same track, "Inside Your Heaven" ,who will allow a direct comparison for judges and the public. It looks like Underwood, a 22-year-old student from Oklahoma, is the the current favorite to win the show. "I think you've done enough to win this competition," Cowell told Underwood.

Tonight, "American Idol" will come to an end with a public vote. The winner will get a coveted recording contract.
