id Software technical boss John Carmack has confirmed that a new patch is currently being made for the PC version of Rage, in order to eliminate the issues with blurry textures still experienced by many gamers.

Rage hasn't exactly had the best of launches on the PC platform, as issues with graphics card drivers made it borderline unplayable, as you could see from our own quick video look. Now, after the first patch for the game, things are a bit better, but there are still issues that plague this edition of Rage.

Now, John Carmack, the technical director of id Software, has confirmed that yet another update is now in development, which should alleviate issues in relation to blurry textures.

"We have a bicubic-upsample+detail texture option for the next PC patch that will help alleviate the blurry textures in Rage," said Carmack on his Twitter account.

Sadly, the id Software veteran declined to pin a date on this new update.
