There are two of them, of 24 Watts and 100 Watts, respectively

Normally, speaker amplifiers each have a bunch of cable connecting them to whatever PC, TV or media player a person happens to own, but Grace Digital has decided to launch a pair belonging to a rarer variety, that of wireless amplifiers.

The result of its efforts was this pair of products: GDI-BTAR122 and GDI-BTAR502, which look much the same but are quite far apart in terms of sound intensity.

The former can receive audio signals and transform them into actual sound. For the GDI-BTAR122, the audio output is of 24 Watts.

For the GDI-BTAR502, the sound is of 100 Watts, clearly in a totally different league, justifying the price difference.

Specifically, the former should be found available for order at $129 / €96 – €129, while the latter ships for $170 / €126 – €170.

Other than that, there aren't many differences really. Both models are littered with buttons and knobs of various sizes, and use 2A USB to recharge.

They also have external Bluetooth antennas for long-range communication, and class D digital amps, plus support for remote control.

What's more, the input impedance is 47 Kohms, with an Input Sensitivity of 500mV. Meanwhile, the Frequency Response is between 20 Hz and 20 KHz.

All in all, their hardware specs are definitely high enough for the wireless support to feel out of place, or like a high-end perk on an otherwise unremarkable piece of electronics.

Buyers should have an easy time setting up the GDI-BTAR122 or GDI-BTAR502 in their homes, whether on a bookshelf, on the floor, or next to computer speakers, it doesn't really matter. Audio streaming can be done from anything: PCs, smartphones, tablets, MP3 players (provided they have Bluetooth of course), or anything else with that wireless capability.

The Grace Digital GDI-BTAR122 and GDI-BTAR502 measure 4.9 x 5.9 x 1.3 inches / 124 x 149 x 33 mm.
