It would appear that Chill Innovation, an IT company based in Denmark, wants to stir some ripples on the market by unleashing a fairly uncommon product, namely a wireless keyboard of compact proportions.

The news may pay more attention to large-profile IT players, but even smaller outfits sometimes manage to get heard over everyone else.

Chill Innovation seems to have succeeded at this by building the KB-1BT, a wireless keyboard that strives to attain a small form factor while still performing every bit as a wireless keyboard is supposed to.

Indeed, the product boasts Blutooth 2.0 connectivity that can maintain the link to a PC over a distance of up to 10 meters.

With 71 backlit keys and a touchpad measuring 31 x 31 mm, the keyboard has a size of 155 x 61 x 12 mm and a wight of 102 grams.

In other words, it is small and light enough for anyone to use and move around, while an High-Grade Li-Polymer 850 mAh battery can last for up to 30 days of standby time.

The KB-1BT Bluetooth Micro Keyboard is one that can work with not just the expected desktop and HTPC, but also with tablets, smartphones (iOS ones or with Symbian, Windows Phone and Android), plus the Sony PlayStation 3 console.

Extra features one might find use for is the built-in flashlight, the possibility to rotate the trackpad's direction.

Stores already have the newcomer up for pre-order. Prospective purchasers will need to be willing to part with the sum of 62.74 Euro.

Meanwhile, those that are looking for peripherals that are more game-oriented can take a look at the Gigabyte ECO500 laser mouse (also wireless) or the Meka G mechanical keyboard form Thermaltake, among others. Keyboards for tablets are also something that one should be able to find either on sale or on the way.
