One reason people don't like motorcycles is that they don't provide the comfort you feel in car "environments". And you can't even use phones while riding that Ducati Monster 97-01 you recently bought. Ain't no easy way out? You think? Well, not anymore, at least when it comes to solving the talking on the phone problem. Australian based BlueAnt firm offers a Bluetooth headset for bikers.

The Interphone Handsfree & Intercom is being launched at this week's CTIA Wireless 2007 (Orlando, Florida). The launch comes a few days after BlueAnt announced the Supertooth Light Bluetooth Handsfree speakerphone which is targeted at motorists mainly.

The device is designed to be easily attached to either full faced or open-faced helmets. It's weatherproof and water resistant (just in case you ride into a water snake). The device boasts a built-in Digital Signal Processor (DSP) which will probably annoy the bikers that ride their motorcycles just to hear the gear sound. It's strange that BlueAnt make no bones telling "sound riders" that the processor will reduce noise and echo to ensure full phone clarity of sound.

The bad news is that the device's automatic volume adjustment will work excellently only at speeds of up to 80mph. The microphone has an anti-noise and anti-echo feature designed to minimize noise and wind interference. The Interphone has automatic voice answer, voice dialing and redial functionality. It also comes with an Intercom capability which can be used between either pillion riders or motorcyclists riding very close to each other (up to 490 feet). But of course, only two riders can play this game.

The thing offers up to 10 hours of talk-time and 700 hours of standby. There's no warranty for this product. Now, that's a lie! It comes with committed customer service program and 2-year replacement warranty. Of course they care...This "fashion for heads" object will sell for "only" 190$.
