A new kind of adventure RPG is up on Kickstarter, entitled Bloom: Memories and it combines a number of classic game design elements. The developing team from Studio Fawn is hoping to obtain $40,000 / €29,500 until December 10.

The interesting fact about this project is that at its core, the game “moves away from the cliche of violence and domination.” Gamers can actually play it without hurting a single soul if that is what they desire.

Since each player is different, the developers have thought about creating a game that offers it all.

In this world filled with mysterious creatures, one can choose to either attack them or to simply try to say hello. Therefore, how they react to certain situations is up to them.

The idea is that if you are violent, the world will react in the same way. On the other hand, showing mercy and kindness might reveal a more loving side.

Gamers can use stealth and strategy to trick those who block their path and grow stronger by feeding off those they defeat.

Among the numerous features, players will see that their main character is born with dual inheritance, meaning it possesses the ability to manipulate its own energy into the world.

Next, you have your utility type abilities. They have a variety of purposes, revolving around the numerous seeds one finds through the world, each giving you a new tool that can be used in whatever way you please.

Furthermore, as players travel around the virtual world of Bloom, they will have the opportunity to discover secret areas and items. This will certainly fire up your adventurer spirit.

Also, the game provides a fuller experience as it incorporates a variety of mini-games and puzzles to entertain you.

The developers have been influenced by quite a lot of other games such as The Legend of Zelda, taking from Hyrule “take the innocent nature of discovery, exploration, and wonder.” From Thief: The Dark Project, they understood “how gripping stealth and careful thinking could be when combined with the exciting danger of death from even a single enemy.”

Of course these are only a few examples of games, for more details on what Bloom has to offer, players can check out the game's Kickstarter page.

Concerning the music, it is made by award-winning composer Jose Mora-Jimenez. Samples of the game's music can also be found on the crowdfunding page. Moreover, if you've found the game interesting, help it get on Steam.
