The upcoming action role-playing game from Japanese video game developer From Software might get a photo mode when it launches on the PlayStation 4.

A fan raised the question on Twitter, pointing to the success of the Photo Mode feature in both Sucker Punch Production's Infamous: Second Son and Naughty Dog's The Last of Us, and asking the team whether they were planning on adding such a feature to the upcoming Bloodborne.

Game Producer Yun Yoshino responded, saying that the team would look into adding such a functionality to the game because it was a great feature.

The Photo Mode allows players to pause the game at any time during gameplay, and to manipulate the camera and add lighting effects and many other various effects in order to take a more artistic snapshot of the action.

The feature proved to be very popular with fans of both aforementioned games, and has produced some pretty snazzy images, which can be easily shared by making use of the PlayStation 4's share function.

The whole thing started when the developers of Infamous: Second Son were impressed by some screen grabs that fans of their game managed to pull off, and decided to further aid them by allowing them access to some of the tools that the development team itself used for capturing footage of the game.

Developer Naughty Dog also added the feature to The Last of Us: Remastered, the overhauled edition of last year's award-winning action adventure video game, and it also proved to be a fan favorite.

Bloodborne started life as "Project Beast," and was unveiled during this year's edition of the E3 game show, when the dev team and Sony showed a video presentation of the title.

The game is being helmed by Hidetaka Miyazaki, the fabled director behind Demon's Souls and Dark Souls, drawing from the experience of creating the two atmospheric hits in order to imbue the upcoming hack-and-slash game with the same kind of moody and challenging gameplay.

The action in Bloodborne is set in an ancient city, where rumor has it that an ancient panacea is located, and the protagonist reaches the city gates just as a powerful pathogen turns a large portion of the population into crazed monsters.

The upcoming title's combat system is being designed to be more violent and graphic than the one in Dark Souls, but the action will retain the same level of difficulty that rewards perseverance and awareness.

In addition to this, the studio also wants gamers to have more options when it comes to dealing with the many monsters they will have to kill during their journey, but will also include a lot of mechanics from its previous games.

Bloodborne is currently slated for an early 2015 release, exclusively for the PlayStation 4 computer entertainment system from Sony.
