Bloodborne has finally been released onto the PS4 platform today, March 24, in North America, and it seems that developer From Software has already confirmed a few fixes for certain key problem areas of the game, such as the lengthy loading times, while simultaneously mentioning that the online servers will go through maintenance periods every week to ensure peak performance.

Bloodborne was eagerly awaited by millions of PS4 owners worldwide and developer From Software, together with Sony's Japan team, have worked hard to ensure that the new role-playing game lives up to all the hype and delights all PS4 owners around the world.

Today, March 24, the game begins its staggered rollout, arriving first in North America, and continuing to Europe on March 25, and other parts of the world later this week.

Lengthy loading times are causing some complaints

Many PS4 owners are already sinking into the role-playing experience, and while most are ecstatic, some are reporting rather lengthy loading times that can be anywhere from 30 seconds to over one minute, which is quite something given that the PS4 is a recent console with a lot of power.

From Software has noted that these loading times will be optimized in a future update, alongside other things that are causing issues for Bloodborne owners in North America and other parts of the world.

"The development team is currently exploring another patch for Bloodborne, seeking ways to improve load time duration, in addition to other performance optimizations and miscellaneous bug fixes," the studio notes, via Gamepur.

Weekly maintenance is coming to the online servers

At the same time, Bloodborne players who are booting up the title are now met with an information screen confirming that there will be weekly maintenance periods for the game's servers every Wednesday, between 8pm and 11pm EST (aka 5pm and 8pm PST).

It's unclear if the maintenance will also be held on launch week, aka tomorrow, but you can expect to hear more soon enough.
