The development team at From Software and publisher Sony announce that their much awaited Bloodborne will be launched on February 5 of next year on the PlayStation 4, and it seems that a limited number of copies for the game will come with both limited artwork and the soundtrack.

The announcement comes from the official Tokyo Games Show 2014 press conference of the company, but no details have been offered on whether the date will only be for the Japanese market or if the game will arrive on the same day in North America and in Europe as well.

Previously, a page on the Japanese version of Amazon listed the same February 5, 2015 date, but no similar offer appeared on other versions of the store, which probably means that Bloodborne will be offered at different moments on the various major markets.

Given that From Software is a development team based in Japan and that Sony is also based in the country, gamers there might be able to enjoy the new title before the rest of the world.

The publisher also suggested that it might offer special artwork and access to the official soundtrack for a limited number of copies on launch, and it seems that a Special Edition of the game is also being planned, with no details offered at the moment.

Presumably, more details will be offered before the crucial Christmas shopping period.

Bloodborne was officially revealed during E3 2014 with a trailer and it has been in development at From Software ever since the company was putting the finishing touches on Dark Souls 2.

Hidetaka Miyazaki is serving as the director of the game, and the experience will mix action and role-playing elements.

Bloodborne will take gamers to a city designed using the principles of Gothic architecture, which has long been a center of healing but is at the moment overrun by twisted versions of its own citizens.

Gamers will have to navigate the streets and battle the creatures using both close quarters weaponry and newly introduced long-range firearms.

A new Regain system will be used to encourage players to stay on the offensive and will allow them to regain health as long as they manage to strike their enemies in a narrow window of time.

From Software says that Bloodborne is designed to offer a new set of experiences when compared to the Dark Souls series and that it will attract a wider audience.
