Feedback from players is important to the team

The development team at From Software and publisher Sony are announcing that their much awaited Bloodborne is being delayed by about one month in order to make sure that the title delivers the quality that the fan base has been expecting.

An announcement on the official PS Blog says that in Europe the experience will be offered on March 25 of 2015 exclusively on the PlayStation 4 and the United States date will probably be the same, although it has not been clearly stated.

Gamers in the United Kingdom and in Ireland will play Bloodborne on March 28 of next year.

The official announcement is rather light on details, but apparently, the weeks of delay will be used in order to improve the core gameplay in unspecified ways.

The two companies state, “We were really grateful for all the player data and feedback we received from those who took part in our recent limited alpha test, and this extra development time will allow us to better integrate these learnings into the game.”

Apparently, an exciting announcement about Bloodborne will be made in early December, probably as From Software and Sony try to make sure that the community which has supported the title since it was announced remains interested despite the delay.

Bloodborne is not linked to Dark Souls in any way

Bloodborne is created by From Software, which is best known for its work on Dark Souls, but the team has made it clear that this is not a true sequel or even a spiritual successor.

By the looks of things, the gameplay experience is being enhanced and fans will find some familiar mechanics, but they will need to learn an entirely new set of concepts in order to perform well.

Bloodborne will include powerful ranged attack options and the combat system is designed to encourage players to take the offensive against the wide variety of included enemies because that allows them to recuperate some of the health that they can lose in engagements.

The story is set in Yharnham, a dark and weird city which uses the XIXth century architecture but is dominated by foul magic.

Gamers will have to explore the streets and investigate mysterious elements, while also making sure that they develop a combat style that can be adapted to the creatures that come out of the dark.

Bloodborne also aims to encourage players to interact with each other, but the exact mechanics have not been revealed yet.
