It seems that the recently launched Bloodborne is affected by a glitch which makes it easier for gamers to attack and deal with enemies and bosses once the title has been running on the PlayStation 4 for more than 12 straight hours.

A Reddit user has found that the title has a memory leak, which means that after a long period, all the enemies have a reduced move set and are easier to predict and avoid.

Meatballz states, "I just tested this yesterday by turning off the PS4 power saving options and leaving Bloodborne running all night. Sure enough, when I played in the morning Logarius had transformed from an intense spell casting maniac into a senile old man who did nothing but attack with his scythe over and over."

The video at the end of the article shows this slowed-down version of the Bloodborne boss in action.

Other gamers have confirmed that the sluggish behavior is caused by the length of time that the title is running without being restarted, but there's some debate about what causes it.

Those who feel that using the bug to progress is a way of cheating should close Bloodborne and then restart the PlayStation 4 in order to make sure that they are in the clear.

The development team at From Software has not yet offered any reaction to the bug.

Bloodborne has received a major patch

The studio has already launched a major patch for the video game, which managed to eliminate the bug linked to the Forbidden Woods and the Lunarium Key and deal with a number of other game issues.

It's unclear how long it would take for From Software to get to the root of the boss decline linked to how long the game is running and to eliminate the cause of the problem.

Bloodborne has managed to impress a lot of people on launch with its mechanics, designed to offer the difficulty of Dark Souls 2 while expanding the diversity of enemies and weapons that can be used to destroy them.

The game will probably get more content this year, but From Software will want to first deal with any problems that the community is noticing.
