Blogger Adds Customizable Permalinks to Posts

Blogger is enabling users to exert more control over their accounts. It is now making it possible to create custom permalinks for any post. This way, if you want a specific URL for a particular post, to help it stand out, you'll be able to provide whatever you like.

"When you write a post, Blogger automatically generates a permalink based on the title of the post. Until now, blog authors have had no control of the permalink. Custom permalinks give you more control of your blog and posts.

"These new custom links also provide readers with more information about your post when scanning search results," Blogger explained.

You'll find the option for custom permalinks in the Post Settings box. In the Permalink section, select "Custom URL" and write whatever you want to add. You can only use letters, numbers, underscore, dash and period for the URL.
