Vince Zampella, the leader of the studio working on Titanfall, says that the blockbuster video game launch will never disappear despite the fact that more and more players are finding new ways of interacting with their experiences.

Respawn Entertainment never considered moving away from the console space in order to focus on mobile gaming or on free-to-play titles on the PC.

Zampella tells Game Informer that, “Maybe people will buy less of them, but I don’t always want to play a game where it’s free to play and a dollar for this and a dollar for that. I have some, I play some, but it’s not what everybody wants.”

The new game will mix MMO and first-person shooter concepts with a new game world.

Titanfall will be out on the PC, the Xbox One and the 360 in 2014.
