It seems that the problematic launch of Diablo 3 earlier this week and the lack of refunds offered by Blizzard have caused some serious issues for the studio in South Korea, where government authorities raided its headquarters.

Blizzard encountered quite a few problems this month when it launched Diablo 3, as poor preparation meant that its servers buckled after millions upon millions of players had tried to log into their accounts and experience the game they paid for.

While this led to quite a lot of complaints, South Korean customers were much more vocal and started issuing complaints to the country’s Fair Trade Commission, according to the Korean Times.

Following many complaints that cited Blizzard’s “ill preparation” and its no-refund policy, the FTC has apparently raided the studio’s headquarters in order to find evidence of the company’s intentions and see whether it violated the right to a refund of every Korean consumer.

No other details are known as of yet, but you can bet that Blizzard will issue a statement soon enough.
