14 DAY TRIAL // Blizzard has prepared a retrospective of past events in its action role-playing game franchise Diablo, kicking off with the introduction of The Story of Diablo to the game guide available on the website.
The Story of Diablo sums up all the major events that occurred in the Diablo universe, up to Diablo 3's Reaper of Souls expansion. The ancient tome will deliver a tale rich in spoilers and reveals, offering a better understanding of the history of the fantasy universe in 53 illustrated pages of lore.
The digital release is meant as an offering to the game's fans, coinciding with the two-year anniversary of Diablo 3, and with an in-game event that offers a community buff on Windows PC and Mac servers that doubles the drop rate of Legendary items, effectively giving out around one per hour of play time, as well as giving players twice as many Rift Fragments.
The celebratory in-game event runs until May 22 and applies to all characters, even stacking with other similar bonuses that the characters may have.
In case you missed the news, the Reaper of Souls expansion is also making its way to consoles later this year on August 19, in the form of Diablo 3 – Ultimate Evil Edition, packing together both the base game and expansion, and also marking the debut of Diablo 3 on the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 next-gen systems, in addition to the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 consoles.
