Blizzard has announced that it's going to release a World of Warcraft documentary titled World of Warcraft: Looking for Group, during this year's edition of BlizzCon.

The documentary will make its debut on November 8, at 5:00 PM PT / 1:00 AM GMT, marking the massively multiplayer online role-playing game's tenth anniversary, and will explore the history of the game and its creators.

You can get a taste of the documentary by watching the short trailer below, outlining some of the behind-the-scenes footage that we'll be getting. Blizzard's description mentions developer interviews, celebrity fans, cosplay, and a lot of the history of Azeroth, so expect a nice treat.

The documentary will premiere at BlizzCon 2014 this weekend but will likely be made available on YouTube shortly, for everyone to enjoy.

A lot of great things are coming

Warlords of Draenor, World of Warcraft's fifth expansion pack, is right around the corner, set to debut on November 13, exploring a new chapter in the expansive Warcraft universe's history, one that will rewrite some of the most important events of the past.

The Iron Horde, the alliance of orcs free of Mannoroth's demonic influence, will attempt to conquer Draenor and Azeroth through its own strength, and nobody knows where the journey will take them.

In addition to the exciting storyline that players will be able to explore, the expansion also comes with a wealth of gameplay refinements and, in some cases, completely reworked mechanics that will introduce significant shifts into how the game is played.

Big things are expected out of BlizzCon this year

This year's edition of BlizzCon will play host to a series of big announcements, such as Hearthstone's debut on Android tablets, which is scheduled for December this year, and potentially a release date for the collectible card game's upcoming expansion, said to deliver over 100 new cards.

In addition to this, Blizzard has filed a trademark for Eye of Azshara, rumored to be the sixth add-on for World of Warcraft, and to introduce a shorter update interval for the role-playing game's expansions.

Shortening the gap between major expansions is most likely a significant part of Blizzard's plans to revitalize World of Warcraft, aiming to keep players invested and busy without the usual lengthy downtimes experienced toward the end of an expansion's life cycle, when most of the players have already gone through all available content.

Furthermore, Blizzard Entertainment has also been teasing something related to StarCraft 2, posting some sound files on the official StarCraft Twitter channel, so far delivering some Zerg-, Terran- and Protoss-specific audio teases. Hopefully, it's about Legacy of the Void, the real-time strategy game's second expansion pack.

In any case, we'll know for sure this weekend, as BlizzCon 2014 is scheduled to take place from November 7 through November 8.
