Blizzard has just kicked off a massive sale on its online store, slashing prices on a variety of content, including World of Warcraft, its various expansions and downloadable content, not to mention StarCraft II, although that offer is just available for European customers.

The end of December will be a tough time for Blizzard, as the biggest rival for its World of Warcraft MMO, Star Wars: The Old Republic, will be released by BioWare.

Now, in order to tempt those who have yet to try out World of Warcraft, it’s running a special range of discounts on the North American and European Blizzard Stores, slashing prices on things like the World of Warcraft Battle Chest, which can be had for $5/€9.99, the Wrath of the Lich King expansion is now priced at $10/€24.99, while the newest Cataclysm add-on can be yours for $20/€24.99.

North American Blizzard Store users can also enjoy other discounts on special mounts and pets for World of Warcraft, as you can see in the image above, while European users can get StarCraft II for €39.99.
